Job summary

Turnitin, LLC is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer to act as a customer-facing technical expert across all sales cycles, driving revenue growth and elevating brand through tailored demos and strategic engagement with Higher and Secondary Education customers.

You will collaborate with Product, Marketing, and Sales Enablement, manage trials and POCs, and develop value-driven business cases while aligning technical objectives with client needs in a remote-first, globally distributed environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Solutions Engineering, Technical Pre-Sales, or Technical Consulting in EdTech or Enterprise SaaS.
• Strong consultative selling and presentation skills with proven ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to executive, academic, and technical audiences.
• High level of intellectual curiosity and a desire to work through complex problems.
• Flexible and humble approach, focused on doing what is best for Turnitin Customers, our people, and our business.
• Proven track record of managing technical evaluations, Proofs of Concept, and RFP responses in complex sales cycles.
• Demonstrated expertise with customer workflows, including ability to understand complex integrations, gather requirements, and accelerate change management with customers. Experience with LMS, LTI standards, and REST APIs is a plus.
• Must be able to regularly flex schedule across global time zones to further One Team collaboration and execute within a global function.

Responsibilities

• Serve as customer facing technical subject matter expert for Turnitin's Integrity and Assessment products across all sales cycles.
• Craft and deliver high-impact, tailored product overviews, and technical demonstrations to current and prospective higher education and secondary education customers.
• Partner with sales teams to resolve technical product inquiries from customers. Advise on technical, integration, and other product questions in RFP/RFI processes.
• Build compelling business cases and value-focused presentations that align product capabilities with client pain points.
• Manage client trials, pilots, and Proofs of Concept (POCs), ensuring clear evaluation criteria and successful outcomes.
• Partner with sales teams to develop deal strategies, refine customer messaging to align to pain points, and influence deal closure.
• Conduct technical discovery with CIOs, Administrators, Deans to collect requirements and document future state workflows.
• Synthesize market feedback and feature requests for internal stakeholders including Product and Marketing.
• Mentor and share best practices, contributing to scaling the Solutions Engineering organization.
