Job summary

Live On Nebraska is seeking a Senior Donation Coordinator to manage tissue and eye donation referrals, conduct donor suitability assessments, and partner with families, hospitals, funeral homes, and community stakeholders. You will mentor staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead process improvements within the Donations team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in health-related field.
• Minimum three years in a clinical setting (EMT/Paramedic/RN/LPN).
• Minimum three years as a Donation Coordinator or in OPO sector.
• Experience reviewing medical records and donor suitability.
• Familiar with EMR systems (Epic/Cerner/Meditech).
• Strong medical terminology knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate potential tissue donors through medical/social history review.
• Assess donor suitability per regulatory guidelines and disease knowledge.
• Discuss donation opportunities with families and obtain authorization when appropriate.
• Advocate for organ/tissue/eye donation while supporting families.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, funeral homes, coroners, and others.
