Job summary

LifeNet Health is seeking a Donation Coordinator to provide accurate donor referral and screening services, coordinate tissue transportation, and support donor families with compassion. You’ll triage calls, identify eligible donors, and collaborate with hospitals, eye banks, and procurement agencies to ensure timely and respectful donations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree – Allied Health, Life Sciences, or Related (to include EMT, LPN, Hospital, Paramedic, RNs, Respiratory Therapist, or Corpsman) preferred.
• CTBS Certification preferred.
• 3 years’ work experience in Tissue Banking, Medical Device, Organ Procurement or related industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Screening and Logistics: evaluate information for preliminary donor eligibility; arrange transportation of donor tissues; coordinate with courier services; ensure timely shipments and communicate accordingly.
• Donor Referrals: identify and process all potential organ, tissue, and eye referrals and screenings to maximize donation opportunities.
• Triage and Escalations: assess incoming calls and messages; prioritize urgency and follow proper transfer protocols.
• Donation and Grief Support: support donor families empathetically; discuss donation opportunities; complete required paperwork and Donor Risk Assessment Interview.
