Qualifications

• Healthcare technical or professional program with current certification (e.g., EMT, Critical Care Tech, Room Tech, LPN)
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; biology, chemistry, social work or healthcare administration are relevant fields
• One year of related organ/tissue/eye procurement experience may substitute for education
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; typing ~45 wpm

Responsibilities

• Provides exemplary customer service to all callers and stakeholders
• Communicates effectively with stakeholders to facilitate a positive donation outcome
• Assesses donation potential by reviewing patient clinical course and health history
• Obtains donation consent/authorization and medical history from grieving families
• Screens donor tissues with contracted tissue processors for approval
• Maintains accurate real-time data entry and supports donation logistics
