LiveOnNY Inc. is seeking a Donor Coordinator to screen, triage, and refer donor-related calls from a home-based setting. You will collect patient details, assess donor suitability, and guide hospital staff through the referral process, while coordinating tissue allocation with Tissue Banks.

The role emphasizes compassion for grieving families, strong medical terminology knowledge, and proficient computer use, with duties spanning documentation, QA, and collaboration with medical examiners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 1–3 years in grief/crisis settings.
• Sensitivity to grieving families; excellent communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology; proficient computer usage.

Responsibilities

• Screen and triage donor-related calls and collect patient information.
• Assess donor suitability and advise hospital staff on next steps.
• Coordinate tissue allocation and contact Tissue Banks.
• Maintain documentation and daily referral logs.
• Build relationships with Medical Examiners and hospitals.
• Handle 24-hour shift demands and overtime as needed.
