Job summary

Nationwide is seeking a Territory Manager, Specialty Care Business Development to market, manage and underwrite commercial lines through select agencies within the Human Services and Nonprofit segment. This remote role serves the Eastern Time Zone with regular agency visits.

You will develop sales strategies, analyze risk, and drive production, profitability and service objectives while collaborating with partners to grow business across targeted markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Seven years of progressive underwriting and sales in commercial business.
• Deep knowledge of commercial underwriting, pricing and coverage for middle market.
• Experience in Human Services and Nonprofit industries.
• Ability to build internal and external partnerships.
• Overtime eligibility: exempt.
• Multi-line commercial insurance underwriting experience with authority.
• Specialty experience in Casualty lines including General Liability, Professional Liability, and Abuse & Molestation.

Responsibilities

• Market, manage and underwrite commercial business with select agencies.
• Develop and implement sales plans to meet financial goals.
• Lead agencies with sales strategies and processes for growth.
• Analyze risk, environment and factors to win accounts.
• Monitor underwriting performance and propose improvements.
• Quote, price and underwrite new and renewal policies for complex accounts.
• Drive agency visits and strengthen relationships.
