Nationwide is hiring for a Territory Manager, Specialty Care Business Development. This remote role supports Commercial Lines Middle Market within Human Services and Nonprofit segments, operating from anywhere in the Eastern Time Zone with at least 25 agency visits per year.

Travel and field engagement are core aspects of the job. The role emphasizes underwriting and sales leadership, agency development, and strategic planning to drive growth, profitability, and client retention across territory

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• 7+ years underwriting and sales experience in commercial business.
• Knowledge of commercial underwriting, pricing and coverage for middle market business.
• Ability to build and maintain internal/external partnerships.
• Strong decision-making in day-to-day operations with competing priorities.
• Multi-line commercial insurance underwriting experience with underwriting authority.
• Human Services and Nonprofit industry experience.
• Strong business development skills with an agency-management orientation.
• Specialty experience in Casualty lines (General Liability, Professional Liability, Abuse & Molestation).

Responsabilidades

• Market, manage and underwrite commercial business with select agencies or brokers.
• Lead agencies by creating sales strategies and processes that drive new sales and retention.
• Research risk, environment and other factors to win the account.
• Analyze underwriting performance and propose corrective plans.
• Meet production, profitability and service objectives.
• Quote, price and underwrite policies and endorsements for complex accounts.
• Monitor risk selection and pricing for agency plant and accounts.
• Drive agency visits and development of business in targeted industries and markets.
• Communicate market intelligence and changes to agencies and leaders.
• Ensure timely and quality file handling and customer service.
