Job summary

Nationwide is seeking a Territory Manager, Specialty Care Business Development to market, manage and underwrite commercial business with select agencies. This remote role focuses on Human Services and Nonprofit accounts across the Eastern Time Zone, with regular travel to agencies.

You will drive profit by developing sales plans, negotiating terms, and strengthening agency partnerships, while applying underwriting discipline to complex middle-market risks.

Qualifications

• Multi-line commercial insurance underwriting experience with authority.
• Human Services and Nonprofit industry experience.
• Strong business development with production and agency management focus.
• Five+ years handling Human Services/Nonprofit accounts; underwriting Casualty lines.

Responsibilities

• Market, manage and underwrite commercial business with select agencies/brokers.
• Drive profit and premium to meet goals through sales plans and negotiations.
• Lead agency relationships and develop pipeline in targeted markets.
• Complete risk assessment and underwriting decisions for complex/mid-market accounts.
• Travel to agency partners; support field underwriting and pricing strategies.
