Job summary

ABB Inc. seeks a Strategic Segment Proposal Engineer to craft technical and commercial proposals for data centers and critical manufacturing facilities. You will partner with SAMs to drive ITO, focusing on high‑probability, high‑profit projects and leverage ABB's portfolio to optimize value and profitability.

This is a remote US role reporting to the Sales Support Manager, with travel up to 2–3 times a year. You will operate within ABB Electrification U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10 years in electrical distribution or related industry.
• 5+ years in sales and project quotations.
• Deep technical knowledge of ABB Electrification products.
• Experience with EPC, industrial, or data center end users.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with SAMs and Strategic Customers to define CTQ factors for growth.
• Organize and lead deal strategy and pricing discussions with stakeholders.
• Develop innovative solutions leveraging ABB portfolio to meet market needs.
• Assess project risks and coordinate with leadership and risk manager.
