Job summary

ABB Inc. is seeking a Strategic Segment Proposal Engineer in the United States.

You will develop technical and commercial proposals for ABB Electrification's data centers and critical manufacturing facilities, collaborating with Strategic Account Sales Managers to drive ITO processes and maximize profitability. This remote role reports to the Sales Support Manager and requires deep product knowledge and strong cross-functional coordination.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering is preferred.
Minimum 10 years in electrical distribution or related industry; minimum 5 years in Sales and project quotations.
Deep technical knowledge of ABB electrical distribution product portfolio and configuration tools.
Experience with EPC, industrial, or data center end users on large scale projects with multiple work packages.
Experience collaborating with global and local cross-functional teams and interacting with senior management.
Proficiency with electronic tools to stay organized and communicate remotely (Outlook, Salesforce, Teams).
Ability to travel up to 2-3 times a year.
Must have work authorization to work in the US.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with SAMs and Strategic Customers to understand CTQ factors for growth.
Organize and lead deal strategy and pricing discussions with internal stakeholders.
Contribute to innovative solutions leveraging ABB's product and solution portfolio.
Evaluate project risks and initiate risk reviews with leadership as the primary contact for risk management.
