Job summary

ABB is seeking a Strategic Segment Proposal Engineer to develop technical and commercial proposals for ABB Electrification's focused industry segments, including data centers and critical manufacturing facilities. Based remotely in the United States, you will collaborate with SAMs to drive ITO activities, ensure high-probability projects, and leverage ABB empower to tailor solutions.

You will interact with senior management and cross-functional teams to optimize profitability and risk management

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university or college preferred.
Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical distribution or related industry; minimum 5 years in sales and project quotations.
Deep technical knowledge of ABB electrical distribution product portfolio and configuration tools (ABB empower).
Experience with EPC, industrial, or data center end users on large scale projects with multiple work packages.
Experience working with global and local cross functional teams and interacting with senior management.
Ability to travel up to 2-3 times a year and work remotely in the US.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with SAMs and Strategic Customers to understand CTQ factors essential for growth.
Organize and lead deal strategy and pricing discussions with internal stakeholders.
Develop innovative solutions leveraging ABB's product portfolio to reduce costs and increase profitability.
Assess project risk triggers and coordinate risk reviews with leadership and the risk manager.
