Job summary

ABB invites ambitious professionals to join as Strategic Segment Proposal Engineer. You will craft technical and commercial proposals for ABB Electrification in focused segments such as data centers and critical manufacturing facilities, working with SAMs to drive ITO processes.

The role is remote within the US, with travel up to 2-3 times per year, contributing to ABB Electrification Smart Buildings in the United States. You will partner with leadership to manage risk and optimize profitability.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university or college preferred.
Minimum 10 years of experience in the electrical distribution or related industry; minimum 5 years in sales and project quotations.
Deep technical knowledge of ABB electrical distribution product portfolio and configuration tools (ABB empower).
Experience with EPC, industrial, or data center end users on large scale projects with multiple work packages.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with SAMs and Strategic Customers to understand CTQ factors for growth.
Organize and lead deal strategy and pricing discussions with internal stakeholders.
Contribute to development of innovative solutions leveraging ABB's portfolio to reduce costs and increase project profitability.
Evaluate project risks and initiate risk reviews with leadership.
