Job summary

Affirm is seeking a Senior Mobile Engineer to drive the technical strategy for the App Infrastructure team. You’ll own the mobile stack, collaborate across product, design and analytics, and raise the bar for code quality and reliability.

You will lead efforts in React Native and Expo, manage complex state, and guide migrations and updates across the RN SDK while keeping speed and quality in balance. This is a remote-first role within the United States.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience developing and architecting mobile apps
• 4+ years using React Native
• Proficient in Javascript/Typescript and React Native SDK updates
• Experience with complex state management and debugging across JS-native boundary

Responsibilities

• Set technical strategy for the team on a year-long horizon.
• Collaborate with product, design, analytics to ensure sustainability and risk management.
• Act as a force-multiplier by defining technical solutions and operational processes.
• Own team operations and availability with monitoring, playbooks, testing and on-call readiness.
• Set code review and design standards and advocate them beyond the team.
• Mentor and grow team members through feedback and guidance.
