Job summary

Affirm is hiring for a senior mobile engineer to lead the App Infrastructure team, owning technical strategy and execution across a broad RN/Expo stack. You will work with product, design and analytics to ensure scalable, observable systems and high-quality code.

Lead with a culture of ownership, drive large projects, and mentor teammates while staying current with mobile OS changes and AI-assisted development practices.

Qualifications

• 7+ years building and architecting mobile apps.
• 4+ years with React Native and Expo.
• Proficient in Javascript/Typescript and state management.
• Experience updating RN SDKs and native modules.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication.

Responsibilities

• Set technical strategy for the team over a year-long horizon.
• Collaborate with product mgmt, design and analytics for sustainability and risk.
• Define and advocate technical solutions and operational processes.
• Own team operations, monitoring, on-call, and runbooks.
• Set code review and design standards and promote them beyond the team.
• Mentor and develop team members and foster growth.
