Job summary

Affirm is a remote-first company reinventing credit, and App Infrastructure owns the shared mobile app stack. We are looking for a senior leader to set technical strategy for a React Native team and align it with product, design and analytics to drive sustainable, scalable outcomes.

You will own on-call readiness, code quality standards, and vendor integration, mentor engineers, and help deliver major features through clear execution plans.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of mobile development experience with 4+ years in React Native.
• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript and native module integration.
• Experience with complex state management and modern tooling.
• Proven track record leading teams and delivering major features.
• Strong written and verbal communication for global collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Set technical strategy for the team on a year-long horizon and align with product plans.
• Collaborate across product, design, and analytics to ensure sustainability and risk awareness.
• Serve as a force-multiplier by defining technical solutions and operational processes.
• Own team operations, monitoring, on-call readiness, and incident playbooks.
• Establish and advocate for code review and design standards, and mentor engineers.
• Help develop talent through feedback and leadership by example.
