Job summary

Affirm is seeking a senior React Native engineer to lead mobile app infrastructure. You will define a year-long technical strategy, collaborate with product, design and analytics, and drive ownership of reliability, monitoring, and code quality.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in mobile app development and architecture.
• 4+ years with React Native.
• Experience with complex state management in a React app.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience updating RN SDK and debugging JS-native boundary.
• Knowledge of mobile testing and observability tooling.
• Experience with AI-assisted development.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Define technical strategy for the team on a year-long horizon.
• Collaborate with product, design, and analytics for sustainability and risk.
• Advocate for scalable technical solutions and processes.
• Ensure operations and on-call readiness with monitoring and playbooks.
• Set code review and design standards and propagate them.
• Mentor and develop team members through guidance and example.
