Job summary

Miratech is seeking a Senior Routing Engine Developer in Houston to design and build the next-generation interaction routing platform for enterprise-scale contact centers. You will develop core routing engines in real time, handling voice and digital interactions across agents, queues, skills, and channels.

You will work with Java, Spring Boot, distributed systems, event-driven architecture, and cloud-native tech, collaborating with product, architecture, and CX platform teams to meet strict

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with ownership of distributed applications.
• Expert-level Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and cloud-native engineering.
• Experience developing routing logic for contact center or CX platforms.
• Knowledge of ACD concepts, queues, skill-based routing, priority routing.
• Experience building high-throughput, low-latency transaction processing systems.
• API-first design, event-driven architecture, messaging, and distributed systems.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or comparable relational databases.
• Hands-on experience with CX platforms and routing concepts.
• Excellent communication and ability to lead client workshops.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop enterprise-scale routing engines that distribute voice and digital interactions in real time.
• Implement intelligent routing algorithms based on skills, priorities, capacity, availability, and business rules.
• Ensure high availability, scalability, resilience, and performance across queues and routing paths.
• Design and maintain APIs supporting routing configuration, administration, monitoring, and integration.
• Integrate routing services with telephony, digital messaging, workforce management, CRM, and analytics platforms.
• Translate business requirements into routing components, deployment views, and roadmaps.
• Define non-functional requirements for availability, performance, security, and observability.
• Review designs and drive pragmatic decisions balancing quality, time, and cost.
• Establish standards, documentation, and technology adoption guidance.
• Collaborate with CX domain experts to translate requirements into capabilities.
