Job summary

YA Group in the United States seeks a Senior Managing Accident Reconstructionist to lead a team of forensic engineers in vehicular crash analysis. The role requires traveling to accident sites, reviewing data, and producing expert reports and trial-ready conclusions.

Candidates should have a Mechanical Engineering degree, PE/ACTAR/SAE certifications, 10+ years of relevant experience, and proficiency with CAD and simulations. Remote work is available nationwide.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 10+ years of experience in biomechanics, accident reconstruction, premises liability, or related work.
• PE license, ACTAR certification, and/or SAE certification.
• Advanced expertise in collision dynamics, including impact and departure speeds, forces, and trajectories.
• Strong background in automotive engineering and control systems.
• Extensive experience working with insurance carriers, attorneys, and/or adjusters.
• Experience performing computer simulations.
• Highly proficient in CAD.
• Prior deposition and courtroom testimony experience a plus.
• Based in (or planning to relocate to) the job location.
• Willingness to travel to remote site locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of experts in accident investigations, documenting scenes and analyzing data.
• Manage large, complex projects from start to finish.
• Support business development by maintaining client rapport and generating new work.
• Provide expert testimony in depositions or trials when requested.
• Perform vehicular investigations using 3D laser scanners, photography, drones, and data downloads.
