Job summary

YA Group is seeking a Senior Accident Reconstructionist to join our Accident Reconstruction & Biomechanics team. The role involves traveling to accident sites, analyzing data, and providing litigation support and expert testimony as needed.

The position is fully remote and open to candidates nationwide in the United States. Ideal candidates have 4+ years in forensic reconstruction, a Mechanical Engineering degree, and relevant certifications (PE, ACTAR, SAE).

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in forensic accident reconstruction.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Valid PE license, ACTAR and/or SAE certification.
• Experience with crash simulation software and CAD tools.
• Willingness to travel and relocate to the job location.

Responsibilities

• Conduct accident investigations by traveling to and documenting accident scenes and performing analysis with crash software.
• Initiate client contact and build rapport with insurance examiners, lawyers, and adjusters.
• Communicate scope of work, investigation tasks, budget, and timelines to clients.
• Provide expert testimony in depositions or trials as needed.
• Document crash scenes with 3D scanners, photography, drones, and EDR data downloads.
• Analyze crash patterns and leverage crash test data and maintenance history.
• Create reports detailing reconstruction processes and findings for clients.
• Support continued research in vehicular accident reconstruction through literature review.
