Job summary

YA Group is seeking a Senior Managing Accident Reconstructionist to lead a team of experts in conducting complex vehicular reconstructions. The role is remote across the United States and requires extensive experience in biomechanics, accident reconstruction, and forensic engineering.

The candidate will manage projects, develop client relationships, and support business development while mentoring staff and delivering litigation-ready conclusions.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 10+ years of experience in biomechanics, accident reconstruction, premises liability, or related field.
• PE license, ACTAR certification and/or SAE certification.
• Advanced expertise in collision dynamics (impact and departure speeds, forces, trajectories).
• Strong background in automotive engineering and control systems.
• Experience working with insurance carriers, attorneys, and/or adjusters.
• Willingness to travel to remote site locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team in accident investigations by traveling to scenes and documenting cases.
• Manage large, complex projects from start to finish.
• Develop business by building rapport with current clients and generating new work.
• Attend conferences and events to promote the company and staff skills.
• Provide client communications on scope, budget, timelines, and deliverables.
• Mentor staff and review work for accuracy and timeliness.
• Provide expert testimony in depositions or trials when requested.
• Perform vehicular investigations using 3D laser scanners, drones, and data downloads.
• Create reports detailing reconstruction process and conclusions.
