Job summary

YA Group is seeking a Senior Accident Reconstructionist to join our remote-capable team in the United States. You will lead vehicular crash reconstructions, provide litigation support, and develop 3D models with forensic animators for trial exhibits.

You will leverage your mechanical engineering background, PE/ACTAR/SAE credentials, and a network of clients to guide investigations, testify when needed, and collaborate with attorneys, adjusters, and engineers on complex cases.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in forensic accident reconstruction
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering required
• Valid PE license, ACTAR certification, and/or SAE certification

Responsibilities

• Conduct accident investigations by traveling to and documenting accident scenes, downloading vehicle data recorders, performing analysis using crash simulation software, and providing litigation support to clients.
• Initiate client contact and build rapport with insurance examiners, lawyers, and adjusters.
• Communicate with clientele regarding scope of work, investigation tasks, budget, and timelines.
• Provide expert testimony in depositions or trials when requested.
• Perform vehicular investigations using 3D laser scanners, photography, drones, data downloads, and measurement devices.
• Analyze vehicle crash patterns and research supporting data (vehicle specs, crash test data, maintenance history).
• Prepare reports detailing reconstruction processes, findings, and conclusions for clients.
