Job summary

Affirm is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to lead the Acquisition & Onboarding team in the Consumer org. You will set technical direction, steer architectural decisions, and raise the quality and velocity of full stack development across mobile, web, and backend systems.

You will mentor engineers, own quarterly goals, collaborate with product and design, and champion high reliability and measurable impact on conversion and growth.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience leading mobile initiatives and cross-functional launches.
• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript and React Native experience.
• Backend design and scaling with Python, Kotlin, AWS and databases.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver quarterly goals for your team and guide engineers through ambiguity.
• Collaborate with product management, design and analytics in the lifecycle of features.
• Own operations, monitoring, triage, playbooks, testing and on-call readiness.
• Identify issues, advocate for improvements and lead resolution efforts.
• Maintain metrics, escalate when needed and support on-call reliability.
• Set and improve code review and design standards across the team.
• Mentor and develop talent by providing feedback and leading by example.
