Job summary

Affirm is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join the Acquisition & Onboarding team within the Consumer org. This high‑impact leadership role sets technical direction, mentors engineers, and elevates the quality and velocity of full stack development across mobile, web, and backend systems.

You will own quarterly goals, collaborate with product, design, and analytics, and drive architecture decisions that improve conversion and growth.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a software engineer.
• Experience leading mobile initiatives (React Native or native).
• Proficient with JavaScript/TypeScript and web technologies (React/Vue).
• Backend systems design using Python/Kotlin, AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Own quarterly goals for the team and lead engineers through ambiguity.
• Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics throughout the lifecycle.
• Ensure monitoring, on-call readiness, and reliable operations of the platform.
• Drive architectural decisions and improve developer tooling and release processes.
• Write high-quality, maintainable code and contribute to design standards.
• Mentor teammates and foster a culture of ownership and excellence.
