Job summary

Colliers International is seeking a Senior Cost Estimator for our Global Occupier Services team. This remote-role supports a multinational client base, providing expert cost estimation and management across industrial and office construction projects.

You will work with PMs to set realistic budgets, assess risks, and apply cost benchmarks. The role requires international project experience, strong MS Office skills, and familiarity with BIM-driven costing tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering or related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in cost estimating and management.
• Special knowledge in typical cost benchmarks for industrial buildings.
• Ability to critically review and challenge cost plans for quality and accuracy.
• Proficiency with major contract types (pre-construction partnering, Design-Bid-Build to Design & Build, cost-plus, BTS-Lease).
• International experience on industrial construction projects.
• MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with BIM and cost databases.
• Familiarity with RIB iTwo or CostX.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain processes for effective cost management procedures.
• Guide and support Project Managers in defining realistic budgets based on project requirements, procurement strategy, and contract type.
• Identify significant cost risks and develop mitigation measures with project teams.
• Provide cost estimates from preliminary to detailed level across project lifecycle.
• Evaluate cost control measures and review forecasts to safeguard budget and cash-out plan adherence.
• Leverage cost and time-efficient construction methods to help deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Support PM in Value Engineering, price negotiations, and contract discussions with General Contractors.
• Collaborate closely with Project Managers for project success and client targets.
