Job summary

Colliers is seeking an experienced Senior Cost Estimator to support a multinational industrial and office client within Enterprise Project Management. You will lead cost processes, guide budgets, assess risks, and collaborate with PMs to deliver projects on time and within budget.

The role requires 10+ years in cost estimating, knowledge of industrial benchmarks, and proficiency with BIM and cost databases. Remote, global responsibilities with an annual bonus opportunity are included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in Cost Estimating and Management (pre-contract and post-contract) required.
• Special knowledge in typical cost benchmarks for industrial buildings (manufacturing, testing, R&D facilities, warehouses, offices) and relevant cost influencing factors.
• Ability to critically review and challenge presented cost plans for quality and accuracy before management approval.
• Profound understanding of most applicable contract types to consult project teams on contract management topics.
• Must have international experience working on industrial construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain processes for cost management procedures.
• Guide and support PMs in defining realistic budgets for construction projects based on requirements, procurement strategy, contract type, codes, and market conditions.
• Identify significant cost risks and develop mitigation measures with project teams.
• Provide cost estimates from preliminary to detailed levels across project life cycle.
• Evaluate cost control measures and review forecasts to safeguard budget and cash-out plan adherence.
• Leverage cost and time efficient methods to enable on-time, within-budget delivery.
• Support PM in Value Engineering, price, and claim negotiations with GC when optimizations are required.
• Collaborate closely with PM for overall project success and achieving Client’s growth targets.
