Job summary

Colliers International is seeking a Senior Cost Estimator to join our Global Occupier Services team. You will support project managers and real estate professionals by delivering accurate cost estimates across industrial and office projects worldwide.

A strong background in pre- and post-contract cost management is essential, along with BIM and cost database experience. You will work in a remote, multi-location environment, coordinating with project teams to ensure budgets are aligned with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 10+ years of experience in cost estimating and management.
• Special knowledge in typical cost benchmarks for industrial buildings (manufacturing, testing, R&D facilities, warehouses, offices) and relevant cost influencing factors.
• Ability to critically review and challenge presented cost plans for quality and accuracy before management approval.
• Profound understanding of most applicable contract types (pre-construction project-partnering, Design-Bid-Build to Design & Build and Open Book/cost plus fees, BTS-Lease).
• Must have international experience working on industrial construction projects.
• Good command of MS Office applications like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience of digital design methods like BIM and work in cost databases.
• Structured, organized way of working – self-starters.
• Special skills in applications such as RIB iTwo or CostX or similar tools are required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee internal construction cost estimates for Client worldwide and guide PMs on budget definition based on project requirements and procurement strategy.
• Identify significant cost risks and develop mitigation measures with project teams.
• Provide cost estimates from preliminary to detailed levels across project life cycles.
• Evaluate cost control measures and review forecasts to safeguard budget and cash-out plans.
• Leverage cost and time optimization methods to help deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Support PMs with value engineering, price and claim negotiations with General Contractors.
• Collaborate closely with PMs to drive project success and client growth targets.
