Job summary

Colliers International is seeking an experienced Senior Cost Estimator to join our Global Occupier Services team. You will lead cost estimation activities for large industrial and office projects, develop budgets, and guide project teams on cost control across pre- and post-contract phases.

The role requires international construction experience, strong knowledge of BIM, CostX and similar tools, plus excellent collaboration with PMs to keep projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering or related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in cost estimating and management (pre-con/ post-con).
• Special knowledge in cost benchmarks for industrial buildings and related factors.
• Ability to review and challenge cost plans for quality and accuracy.
• Knowledge of contract types (Design-Bid-Build, Design & Build, Open Book/cost plus fees, BTS-Lease).
• Must have international experience working on industrial construction projects.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with BIM and cost databases.
• Familiarity with tools such as RIB iTwo or CostX.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain processes for effective cost management procedures.
• Support PMs by defining budgets for construction projects based on requirements, procurement strategy, and regional codes.
• Identify significant cost risks and develop mitigation measures with project teams.
• Provide cost estimates in all life-cycle stages from preliminary to detailed.
• Evaluate effectiveness of cost control measures and review forecasts to safeguard budget and cash-out plan adherence.
• Leverage cost and time-efficient construction methods to meet deadlines and budget.
• Support PM in value engineering, price, and claim negotiations with the General Contractor.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager for overall project success and growth targets.
