Job summary

Colliers is seeking a Senior Cost Estimator to support Global Occupier Services on large industrial and office client projects. Remote work with global responsibilities, focusing on cost management, budgeting, and procurement strategy across multiple locations.

The role requires 10+ years in cost estimating, international project experience, and expertise with BIM and cost databases. Collaboration with PMs is essential to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering or related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in Cost Estimating and Management (pre-contract and post-contract) required.
• Special knowledge in typical cost benchmarks for industrial buildings and relevant cost-influencing factors.
• Ability to critically review and challenge presented cost plans for quality and accuracy before management approval.
• Profound understanding of contract types to consult project teams on management topics.
• Must have international experience working on industrial construction projects.
• Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with BIM and cost databases.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain processes for effective cost management procedures.
• Guide and support Project Managers in defining budgets based on project requirements and procurement strategy.
• Identify significant cost risks and develop mitigation measures with project teams.
• Provide cost estimates from preliminary to detailed levels.
• Evaluate cost control measures and review cost forecasts to safeguard budget and cash-out plans.
• Leverage cost and time-saving construction methods to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Support PM in value engineering, price and claim negotiations with the General Contractor.
• Collaborate closely with Project Manager for overall project success and growth targets.
