Job summary

Colliers International in the United States seeks an experienced Senior Cost Estimator to support a large multinational client within Enterprise Project Management. You will be a subject matter expert delivering cost estimates from early planning to detailed design, coordinating with project managers and the real estate team.

Responsibilities include developing cost management processes, identifying risks, providing lifecycle estimates, and supporting value engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering or related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in cost estimating and management (pre-contract and post-contract).
• Special knowledge in cost benchmarks for industrial buildings and related factors.
• Ability to review and challenge cost plans for quality and accuracy.
• Understanding of contract types (Design-Bid-Build, Design & Build, etc.).
• International experience on industrial construction projects.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with BIM and cost databases.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain processes for cost management procedures.
• Guide and support PMs in defining budgets based on project requirements, procurement strategy, contract type, codes and market conditions.
• Identify significant cost risks and develop mitigation measures with project teams.
• Provide cost estimates from preliminary to detailed levels across the project life cycle.
• Evaluate cost control effectiveness and review forecasts to safeguard budgets.
• Leverage cost and time-efficient construction methods to deliver on time and within budget.
• Support PM in value engineering, price, and claim negotiations with the General Contractor.
• Collaborate closely with PMs for overall project success and client targets.
