Job summary

Colliers is seeking an experienced Senior Cost Estimator to support a multinational client across industrial and office sectors. The role sits within our Enterprise Project Management service line and requires expert cost management, budgets, and coordination with PMs and real estate teams.

You will lead cost estimation efforts, maintain cost processes, and collaborate closely with project teams to ensure budgets align with procurement strategies and market conditions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in construction management, engineering or related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in cost estimating and management (pre-contract and post-contract).
• Special knowledge in cost benchmarks for industrial buildings and relevant cost-influencing factors.
• Ability to review and challenge cost plans for quality and accuracy before approval.
• Proficiency with common contract types (e.g., Design-Bid-Build, Design & Build, Open Book) for advising project teams.
• Experience internationally on industrial construction projects.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); BIM and cost databases.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain processes for cost management.
• Oversee internal construction activities and assist PMs in defining budgets.
• Identify significant cost risks and develop mitigation measures with project teams.
• Provide cost estimates from preliminary to detailed levels of projects.
• Evaluate effectiveness of cost control measures and review forecasts/cost reports.
• Support PMs with value engineering and negotiations with general contractors.
