Job summary

Colliers International seeks a Senior Cost Estimator for a multinational client portfolio in the United States. You will be a subject matter expert supporting project managers and the real estate team, delivering accurate budgets and cost insights.

You will lead cost management processes, identify risks, and assist with value engineering to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. Requires 10+ years in cost estimating and international project experience, plus BIM/CostX

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering or related discipline.
• 10+ years of cost estimating and management experience.
• Special knowledge of cost benchmarks for industrial buildings and related factors.
• Ability to review and challenge cost plans for accuracy.
• Understanding of contract types (pre-construction to design & build) for cost consultation.
• International experience on industrial construction projects.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and cost databases.
• Experience with BIM and cost estimation tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain processes for cost management.
• Define budgets for construction projects based on requirements, procurement strategy, codes and market conditions.
• Identify cost risks and develop mitigation measures with project teams.
• Provide cost estimates through project life cycle from concept to detailed design.
• Evaluate effectiveness of cost control measures and review forecasts to safeguard budget.
• Leverage BIM and cost-methodologies to support on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Support PMs with value engineering, pricing negotiations with General Contractor.
• Collaborate closely with Project Manager to achieve client growth targets.
