You will partner with merchant tech and business leaders, maintain deep product knowledge, and coach the team to build robust API-based integrations.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership while staying connected to customer conversations and solution design, with a remote-first posture and US-based flexibility.

Qualifications

• 4-6+ years in Sales or Solutions Engineering or similar customer-facing tech role.
• 3-4 years of people management experience leading teams.
• Hands-on with API-based integrations and at least one programming language.
• Strong communication, credibility with developers and executives.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of Sales Engineers with clear expectations.
• Participate in deals, support live technical discovery and presentations.
• Collaborate with merchant leaders to drive opportunities and solutions.
• Develop knowledge of Affirms products, APIs, and integration options.
• Build and test integrations in sandbox environments and coach the team.
• Apply AI tools in technical work and guide team usage for prototypes.
• Design merchant solutions with Engineering, Product, and Revenue.
• Translate merchant needs into actionable product feedback.
• Foster an inclusive, growth-oriented team culture.
