Job summary

Jobgether SRL is seeking an experienced Production Support Engineer based in the United States. The role focuses on high-level operational support for complex production and cloud environments, ensuring availability and reliability for mission-critical systems.

You will work with development, operations, and security teams, automate tasks, monitor performance, and participate in on-call rotations. A strong background in AWS/Azure, SQL, scripting, and security is required for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in systems engineering or related field, production support preferred.
• 3+ years of experience with SQL queries and monitoring.
• Strong experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud environments.
• Proficiency in Linux/Unix and Windows system administration.
• Scripting for automation (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Experience with IaC and cloud-native tools (CloudFormation).
• CI/CD with Git, GitHub Actions, AWS CodeBuild/CodeDeploy.
• Security compliance and incident response experience.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain Public Trust.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day operational support for complex cloud systems and production applications.
• Troubleshoot outages, document issues, and implement workarounds.
• Respond to hardware/software user requests and communicate with stakeholders.
• Maintain infrastructure, perform user management, monitoring, and configuration.
• Monitor performance using CloudWatch, Dynatrace, and other tools; preempt issues.
• Develop automation/configuration-management solutions via Python, Bash, PowerShell, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, SaltStack.
• Support cloud infra and IaC practices using AWS/Azure and CloudFormation.
• Work with RDS SQL Server and Oracle RDBMS; handle backups and recovery.
• Support CI/CD pipelines with Git, GitHub Actions, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy.
• Ensure security controls, audits, and compliance across production systems.
• Document configurations, procedures, and operational processes.
• Collaborate with development, operations, security, and users; participate in on-call rotation.
