Job summary

Red Hat seeks an OpenShift Technical Account Manager (TAM) to work remotely with southeastern US customers. You will guide architecture and technical strategy for OpenShift deployments, coordinate with engineering and product teams, and act as the primary point of contact for major incidents.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a support, development, engineering, IT, or QA role.
• Experience with Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) cloud solutions like OpenShift.
• Expertise in enterprise cloud solutions including container tech and IT automation.
• Ability to grow enterprise customer relationships with proactive support.
• Understanding of enterprise architecture and business drivers.
• Ability to manage multiple issues and projects with shifting priorities.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Willingness to travel for customer visits and events in the region.
• Familiarity with CI/CD concepts is a plus.
• RHCE certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support enterprise customers in implementing automated and containerized cloud platform solutions.
• Learn new technologies quickly, including container orchestration and microservices on container platforms.
• Develop relationships with key stakeholders and understand customer goals and priorities.
• Perform technical reviews and proactively identify and prevent issues.
• Be a customer advocate within Red Hat and collaborate with internal teams.
• Create customer engagement plans and keep environment documentation updated.
• Document customer issues and technical details on resolutions.
• Build trust and maintain long-term customer relationships with quality support.
• Forewarn customers of technology changes and mitigation strategies.
• Provide guidance on current and future Red Hat products.
• Troubleshoot issues and drive escalation with Red Hat and customer teams.
• Present periodic reviews of operational performance to leadership.
• Engage with field teams, customers, and partners for a positive cloud experience.
