Job summary

American Red Cross is seeking a detail-oriented Microsoft 365 Administrator for a fully remote role, aligned with East Coast hours. The candidate will support, administer, and optimize Microsoft 365 services across the organization, providing end‑user support and managing incidents with SLA adherence.

The role emphasizes automation using PowerShell and Graph API, with a focus on security, monitoring, and cross‑functional collaboration to sustain reliable, compliant cloud services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• Minimum 4 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks efficiently.
• Ability to work on a team.

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and support Microsoft 365 services, including Outlook, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, and related collaboration technologies.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve a wide range of technical issues for end users while meeting SLAs.
• Manage, track, and document incidents, service requests, and problem records.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to provide after-hours support for critical incidents.
• Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts and automation to streamline Microsoft 365 administration and reporting.
• Utilize Microsoft Graph and APIs to automate processes and improve efficiency.
• Monitor service health, performance, security alerts, and usage trends.
• Generate reports and dashboards to provide operational insights for decision making.
• Analyze monitoring data to optimize performance and resource allocation.
• Implement automation to reduce manual effort and improve service delivery.
• Manage user identities and access controls within Microsoft Entra ID/Azure AD.
• Support security and compliance initiatives and document procedures.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and training materials.
• Educate and support users on Microsoft 365 tools and best practices.
• Collaborate with IT teams and vendors on projects and enhancements.
• Stay current with Microsoft 365 roadmap updates and security standards.
