Job summary

Intuit's SelectTime Payroll Tax Operations is seeking a Lead Tax Processor and SME to guide the team through complex tax defect resolution, lead SOP development, and coach teammates to build capacity. You will own escalations, ensure audit trails, and drive compliance with cross-functional stakeholders.

You will mentor staff, approve complex amendments, and shape processes while leveraging AI tools to improve workflows in a fast-paced, remote, part-time role with overtime eligibility.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of payroll tax experience with complex defect resolution and multi-state amendments.
• Experience as a lead, senior specialist, or SME with coaching or training junior staff.
• Advanced writing to create and approve SOPs and technical documents for a tax audience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as real-time technical expert for TP1-TP3 staff, teaching resolution paths to build capability.
• Own authoring, review, and approval of SOPs and knowledge base articles across core operations.
• Conduct quarterly formal coaching sessions to close skill gaps using the SBIC model.
