Intuit is seeking a Lead Tax Processor within SelectTime to act as the primary real-time technical expert for TP1–TP3 staff, driving complex escalation resolutions and SOP governance. You will coach teammates, manage SOPs/KBs, and oversee performance metrics while ensuring accurate multi-state filings.

The role emphasizes ownership of high-stakes issues, collaboration with cross-functional partners, and leveraging AI tools to improve workflows in a remote, flexible-hour setting.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of payroll tax experience with complex defect resolution and multi-state filings.
• Experience as a lead, SME, or senior specialist with coaching roles.
• Extensive knowledge of US payroll tax regulations, including local and state programs.
• Excellent SOP/technical document authoring skills for a tax processor audience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary real-time technical expert for TP1-TP3 staff and build team capability.
• Own SOPs and KB articles, including authoring, review, and formal approval.
• Conduct quarterly coaching sessions to close skill gaps using SBIC feedback.
• Lead team huddles and stand-ups; back-up facilitator for Daily Stand-Ups when needed.
• Oversee WIP, backlog, and aging reports; recommend staffing adjustments.
• Resolve severe payroll tax notices across jurisdictions and ensure audit trails.
• Approve complex amended returns (Federal 941-X, W-2c) and state returns.
• Identify systemic risks and communicate with stakeholders with data-driven plans.
• Represent team in cross-functional meetings and provide risk-informed options.
