Qualifications

• :4+ years of payroll tax experience with complex tax defect resolution and multi-state filings.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary real-time technical expert for TP1, TP2, TP3 staff and teach resolution paths to build capability.
• Own authoring, review, and approval of SOPs and KB articles across core operations.
• Conduct quarterly coaching sessions using SBIC feedback model to close skill gaps.
• Lead or support team huddles and QA sessions; backup facilitator for Daily Stand-Ups when manager unavailable.
• Oversee WIP, backlog, and aging reports to advise staffing changes.
• Resolve severe state and federal payroll tax notices, including IRS discrepancies.
• Approve complex amended Federal (941-X, W-2c) and State returns with audit trails.
• Identify trends and compliance risks; communicate with data-driven recommendations.
• Represent team in cross-functional meetings, ensuring compliance integrity and risk-informed alternatives.
