Qualifications

• 4+ years of payroll tax experience with complex tax defect resolution
• Lead/SME experience with coaching or mentoring junior staff
• Expert knowledge of tax payments and filings across US jurisdictions
• Advanced writing skills for SOPs and technical docs
• Ownership of SLAs and proactive workflow improvement
• Validation-first mindset for solutions and alternatives
• 5+ years handling sensitive escalations in high-volume environments
• 4+ years in contact center, customer service, or back-office operations
• Comfortable using AI tools to improve team workflows

Responsabilités

• Serve as the primary technical expert for complex payroll tax issues and escalations
• Own authoring, review, and approval of SOPs and KB articles
• Conduct quarterly coaching sessions to close skill gaps
• Lead or support team huddles, QA sessions, and daily stand-ups
• Oversee WIP, backlog, and aging reports to inform staffing
• Resolve severe payroll tax notices (IRS/state) with audit trails
• Approve complex amended Federal/State returns with proper documentation
• Identify trends and risks, communicate with data-driven recommendations
• Represent team in cross-functional meetings with a focus on compliance
