Intuit, Inc. is seeking a Lead Tax Processor and SME to drive critical payroll tax operations. You will own complex tax work, govern SOPs, and coach the team to reduce escalations. The role emphasizes ownership, resilience, and data-driven risk management.

You will oversee high-stakes state and federal notices, enhance processes, and support cross-functional collaboration while maintaining compliance in a fast-paced, remote environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of payroll tax experience focusing on complex tax defect resolution, notice response, and multi-state amendments.
• Experience as a lead, senior specialist, or SME with coaching or mentoring junior staff.
• Expert knowledge of tax payment and filing regulations across US jurisdictions, including local municipal tax systems and state programs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary, real-time technical expert for TP1, TP2, TP3, answering complex questions and teaching resolution paths to build team capability.
• Author, review, and approve SOPs and KB articles across core operations.
• Conduct formal coaching sessions at least quarterly to close skill gaps using SBIC feedback model.
