Intuit seeks a Lead Tax Processor and Subject Matter Expert to steer high-stakes payroll tax work virtually in the United States. You will resolve the most complex escalations and govern SOPs and knowledge bases while coaching teammates for sustained capability.

You will handle multi-state amendments, provide technical guidance, and own outcomes with a rigorous, data-driven approach in a flexible, remote work setup. This role emphasizes governance, coaching, and continuous process improvement.

Formación

• 4+ years of payroll tax experience with complex tax defect resolution and multi-state filings.
• Experience as a lead, senior specialist, or SME with coaching or training junior staff.
• Expert knowledge of tax regulations across US jurisdictions, including local and state programs.
• Advanced writing skills for SOPs and technical documents.
• Strong ownership of SLAs and ability to raise red flags early.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as primary real-time technical expert for TP1, TP2, TP3 staff.
• Author and approve SOPs and Knowledge Base articles.
• Conduct formal coaching sessions each quarter using SBIC model.
• Lead team huddles and QA sessions; back up Daily Stand-Ups when needed.
• Oversee WIP, backlog, and aging reports; recommend staffing changes.
• Resolve severe payroll tax notices across multiple states and IRS issues.
• Approve complex amended Federal and State returns with audit trails.
• Identify trends and compliance risks; communicate findings with data-driven recommendations.
• Represent team in cross-functional meetings and provide risk-informed options.
