Job summary

Pearson, the world’s learning company, is seeking qualified language scorers to remotely support New York scoring operations. The role offers starting pay of $17.50 per hour and flexible sessions that fit your availability.

To qualify, candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree or higher and a current teaching certification in the target language, or be an educator with a content-relevant degree and recent teaching experience, or be a native/fluent speaker with a degree.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher and current teaching certification in the language.
• Or educators from colleges with a content-relevant degree and recent teaching/advising experience.
• Or native/fluent speaker with a college degree and ability to read, write, and speak the language.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate responses to test questions by teacher candidates.
• Internalize scoring standards and participate in consensus scoring activities.
• Recognize and discuss bias types and implement strategies to reduce bias.
• Meet quality and productivity requirements and pass a qualifying test.
