Job summary

Pearson is hiring remote evaluators to score teacher licensure responses in multiple languages for the New York office. A bachelor’s degree and language certification (or relevant teaching experience) are required. This role offers remote work with flexible scoring sessions and a starting rate of $17.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher required; teaching certification in the language or recent teaching in schools.
• Educators from colleges/universities with content-relevant degree or advising/teaching in last 3 years.
• Native/fluent speaker with a college degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate responses to test questions by teacher candidates.
• Internalize scoring standards and participate in consensus scoring discussions.
• Recognize and discuss bias types and apply strategies to reduce bias in scoring.
• Meet quality and productivity requirements and pass a qualifying test before scoring.
