Job Description
- The EDI Analyst is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and enhancing Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) systems and integrations across the enterprise.
- This role requires strong technical EDI knowledge, hands-on experience with JD Edwards EDI tables, and the ability to manage EDI projects, incidents, and requests through ServiceNow.
- The analyst will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, external trading partners, and a third-party EDI provider to ensure reliable, compliant, and scalable EDI operations.
Responsibilities
- Manage EDI implementations, enhancements, and change requests from initiation through completion, using structured project management methodologies.
- Gather, document, and validate detailed business and technical requirements for EDI integrations and changes.
- Support JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 9.2 EDI tables, ensuring accurate data flow between business applications and trading partners.
- Serve as the primary liaison between business users, IT teams, trading partners, and the company's third-party EDI service provider.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve EDI incidents related to data, mappings, translations, and communications.
- Manage EDI-related incidents, problems, and service requests through ServiceNow, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication.
- Analyze root causes of recurring EDI issues and recommend process, system, or data improvements.
- Support EDI activities related to large-scale initiatives such as acquisitions, divestitures, system upgrades, and site migrations.
- Proactively identify risks, gaps, or inefficiencies in EDI processes and recommend corrective actions.

- EDI transactions are processed accurately, reliably, and on time with minimal errors or rework.
- EDI incidents and service requests are resolved within defined SLAs using ServiceNow, with clear communication to stakeholders.
- JD Edwards EDI integrations are stable, well-documented, and scalable to support business growth.
- EDI projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business requirements.
- Strong relationships are established with internal stakeholders, trading partners, and EDI vendors.
- Continuous improvements are implemented to reduce manual effort, errors, and operational risk within EDI processes.
Skills & Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience as an EDI Analyst or Specialist in an IT, manufacturing, or supply chain environment.
- Strong working knowledge of EDI standards, including ANSI X12 and EDIFACT.
- Hands-on experience with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne EDI tables and transaction processing.
- Experience managing EDI projects using Waterfall or similar structured project management methodologies.
- Proven experience handling EDI incidents, service requests, and change management through ServiceNow.
- Experience working with EDI service providers such as SPS Commerce, True Commerce, Open Text or similar platforms.
- Strong business analysis skills including requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder facilitation.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and timelines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Oracle Data Integrator (ODI).
- Experience supporting EDI integrations across multiple business units.
- Familiarity with ITIL-based service management practices.
- Experience supporting M&A-related EDI integrations.
