Job summary

Pearson is seeking remote language scorers in the United States to evaluate candidate responses and apply scoring standards. You will participate in consensus scoring and uphold quality targets in a flexible remote environment.

Requires a bachelor’s degree or higher and teaching credentials or equivalent language expertise; native or fluent speakers with a degree are welcome. Remote work within the U.S. is offered with starting pay of $17.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher, and either a current teaching certification in the language you apply for and active teaching in the last three years, or equivalent educator experience in colleges/universities with a relevant degree.
• Or you are a native or fluent speaker with a college degree and language proficiency.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate responses to test questions by teacher candidates for the language(s) listed.
• Internalize scoring standards and participate in discussions with other scorers for consensus scoring.
• Identify and discuss bias types and apply strategies to reduce bias in scoring.
• Meet quality and productivity requirements and pass a qualifying test before scoring.
