Job summary

Pearson is seeking qualified individuals to score responses for language assessments remotely. Earn $17.50 per hour with part-time scoring sessions that fit your availability and work from home.

Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree or higher and a valid teaching certificate in the target language, and have recent school teaching experience or be a native/fluent speaker with a degree. US work eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree or higher and teaching certification in the language you apply for.
• Currently teaching or have taught in schools within the last three years (including substitutes).
• Native or fluent speaker with a college degree may also qualify.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate responses to test questions for Illinois and New York teacher candidates.
• Internalize scoring standards and engage in consensus scoring with other scorers.
• Identify bias types and discuss strategies to reduce bias in scoring.
• Meet quality and productivity targets, including passing a qualifying test.
