Job summary

Pearson is seeking language scoring professionals to evaluate teacher licensure responses remotely for the New York and Illinois programs. Starting rate is $17.50 per hour with flexible sessions that fit your availability.

Remote work from anywhere in the United States is offered to qualified educators. Eligible candidates include degree holders or certified teachers in the relevant language, or experienced educators with a content-relevant degree.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher and teaching certification required in the language of application.
• Educators from colleges/universities with a content-relevant degree or recent teaching/advising in the field.
• Native or fluent speaker with college degree as an alternative qualification.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate responses to test questions by teacher candidates in assigned language.
• Internalize scoring standards and participate in discussions with other scorers for consensus scoring.
• Recognize bias types and discuss strategies to mitigate bias in scoring.
• Meet quality and productivity requirements for the scoring program and pass the qualifying test before scoring.

Education

Bachelor's degree or higher
