Job summary

Pearson is seeking remote language scorers to evaluate open-ended responses from teacher candidates in multiple languages. You will apply scoring standards, participate in consensus scoring sessions, and uphold unbiased evaluation practices.

Starting at $17.50 per hour, roles offer remote work with flexible scoring sessions and training. Applicants must meet educational and licensure criteria or have relevant teaching experience, and be eligible to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher required and teaching certification in the language you apply for.
• Active teaching in schools within the last three years (or recently taught as substitute) is required.
• Alternatively, educators from colleges with content-relevant degrees or recent advising in relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate responses to test questions for specific language candidates.
• Internalize scoring standards and participate in discussions with scorers.
• Engage in bias awareness and apply strategies to reduce bias in scoring.
• Meet quality and productivity requirements and pass qualifying test before scoring.
