Job summary

Pearson is seeking qualified scorers to evaluate responses from teacher candidates in multiple languages. This remote role offers the flexibility to choose scoring sessions that fit your schedule and a starting rate of $17.50 per hour. Active and recently retired educators are welcome, with appropriate credentials and U.S. work eligibility.

Responsibilities include applying scoring standards, participating in consensus discussions, and maintaining confidentiality throughout the scoring process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher required.
• Current teaching certification in the language you are applying for and are currently teaching or have taught in schools within the last three years.
• Alternatively, educators from colleges/universities with a content-relevant degree and recent teaching/advising in that field.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate responses to test questions by teacher candidates in assigned language.
• Internalize scoring standards and participate in consensus scoring activities.
• Discuss bias types and strategies to reduce bias in scoring.
• Meet quality and productivity requirements and pass a qualifying test before scoring.
