Coinbase is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join the Coinbase Advisor team within the Consumer & Business group. This role is primarily backend on a full-stack team.

You'll own the services that make agentic trading fast, clear, and trustworthy for millions of customers. As part of the Advisor project, you will design backend services powering Coinbase Advisor and Strategies, integrate with trading APIs, develop the agentic harness, and collaborate with frontend, product, design, trading

Competenze

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with backend focus.
• Strong API design, distributed systems, data modeling, testing, and debugging production failures.
• Proficiency in Go or ability to learn quickly.
• Experience building production LLM or agentic systems including tool calling, orchestration, or evaluation.
• Proven ability to take ambiguous projects from zero to production with minimal oversight.
• Uses generative AI responsibly with human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs.

Mansioni

• Own backend services powering Coinbase Advisor and Strategies from design to launch and ongoing operation.
• Build integrations with trading APIs so agent recommendations translate into auditable execution.
• Develop our agentic harness, including tool calling, orchestration, persistent state, and recovery from failures.
• Shape agent behavior through prompt engineering, evals, and conversation analysis with the investment adviser.
• Improve service reliability, latency, observability, and safeguards against duplicate actions.
• Collaborate with frontend engineering, product, design, trading infra, and legal/compliance to ship features under guardrails.
